The Male Experience
Look at her face, so beautiful. Look at her thighs, talking to me with devilish tones. How can I prove that I am not just another or like the others? I’ll take her to dinner, look her straight in the eyes, and tell her I can Love her. I’ll put my heart on the table, hoping she can digest it, and it becomes her main course. She smiles. At that moment, I commit to that smile. I am doing everything in my power to keep it alive. I feed her my passion. Expressing my intentions for us to live a better existence than the last place she existed. Everything goes silent, but the forks and spoons are clacking against everyone’s teeth. She looks across the table in fear, when I thought I said something that would bring her joy. I guess she has been disappointed so many times that the thought of commitment seems like a prison. She thinks I am yet another man attempting to steal her freedom. But, I thought that’s what I was offering. A chance to build something we can hope for daily and make actual every moment. She smiles again. This one is different. It seems she noticed I was serious and didn’t want to dim my light. Is This Love? Sparing the truth of our hearts to suppress the honesty of the facts at the moment. I grinned back, allowing her to see that I can connect in some way. The lies start. Words weren’t spoken, but our bodies spoke a language against our souls.
The subject changes, the bell has rung, its time to walk to the next class. The check is placed on the table; we look at one another. She looks at the check than me than the examination again. My wallet leaves my back pocket, covering our bellies as well as what was left unsaid. She smiles yet again. This time I can see the approval in the wrinkles surrounding her eyes. She knew I wanted more and was making me pay for it. We walk out of the restaurant. Can we walk off this food? I ask with hope rooted in my throat. She looked me in the face and said it is getting late. I knew separate cabs was the next step. My hand goes out to catch her a taxi, realizing I started speaking her language the moment I stopped being vulnerable and started guessing. At that moment, I realized this is The Male Experience.
We Must Find Common Ground
Let me give you an analogy: The concept of relationships.
A man and woman want to go out to eat, but they both want different foods. They must find common ground because the most important thing is eating together. They decided they would either find a restaurant that serves both dishes or a restaurant that serves something they both can enjoy.
They took the time to come to a common ground. The couple could have “agreed to disagree” and end up in separate restaurants, defeating the purpose. They ate together and, at the same time, maintained equality, keeping them both satisfied with their decision. That’s a healthy relationship, working toward a fitting solution to benefit both parties while accomplishing the ultimate goal of staying together!!!!

Starting Equal Relationships
The AccountableLove Podcast is promoting Equal & Healthier relationships. The LoveSnobs believe if people enter relationships that will be empowered by the connections they have. They will inspire them.
We have too many inequalities in the world to enter into relationships that don’t strengthen us. We walk out of our homes to millions of differences. We must find that balance in the commonalities of the like minds and the same hearts we call our friends and partners.
We must stop keeping secrets that pull us further apart. We need to communicate freely and openly. A lot of bad decisions ensue when we keep our Love ones in the dark. When we say, “We NEED to communicate,” it is a necessity. Look around; it is destroying our hearts. Deception has hardened our hearts and tarnished our souls. Who do we trust? Our equals.
After, we have established an ability to communicate freely and openly. When We have acquired a level of straightforwardness that builds an unbreakable bond, we can start working through all the differences threatening the survival of relationships—working through one problem after the next, searching for solutions.
Equality is measured by our abilities to look someone in the eyes, unafraid of judgment. We will only see our Love ones as equals when we stop hiding parts of ourselves we deem unlovable. Equality means always providing choice.
